Stargate Trance Party Organisers

Stargate is a popular television series based on fiction and out of space inter galatical events. The series was shot and produced around Vancouver in Canada and has gone on to be the longest running Sci-Fi series of all time.

In the series a group of aliens from various far away worlds and far outreaches of the universe are interconnected by a system of stargates and subsequently their fates are intertwined in wars of passion, technology and far flung concepts such as time travel and intergalactic phenomena.

The Stargates unable the characters to achieve interstellar instant travel and of course the complications and politics that arise from such a device are far from simple and make up the bulk of the dynamic plot lines.

In the first series SG1, a group of about 25 ships explored the universe and served as a guide for earth protecting it from a number of threats. Since the original first stargate television series in the first season which was released in 1994 there have been over 10 other seasons. The seasons are being broadcasted in a number of TV and satellite stations the world over, becoming most popular in the US and UK. The Stargate series are available on Dvds and Dvd boxsets.

The Stargate movies over the years have become so popular that it is used as the theme in a lot of other industries.  For example there are now a number of Stargate games based on scenes and characters in the TV series. They also inspire costume dress to fancy parties and sci-fi conventions. Some sci-fi conventions which are held among the science fiction geek community also draw a lot from stargate. It is not unusual to dress in costumes patterned after stargatecharacters adding to the fun and excitment of the events.

A lot of Stargate fan club franchise and geek communities online have sprouted since the beginning of the series and as more episodes are released still more come up. These sites are stylishly made up. Some depict or try to depict high tech space fiction. A lot of the sites are real pretty and are done based on scenes of the series such as a gateworld before you enter the main site. They show pictures of popular characters of the series archives. The fan sites are used to meet other fans and geeks, exchange ideas, and opinions about the movie, get resources, downloads, news and information related to stargate and its stories and to just keep the stargate torch burning.

Most of the fan clubs and geek community exist in the US and UK. They are known to organize events from time to time. There is a lot of talk going on about a huge stargate trance party being organized. Details are still sketchy but feelers report that it would be huge in the Sci-fi fans and geek community and would cut across US and the UK. It is yet unconfirmed if the Stargate trance party would be held on the same day across US and UK or if the party train would travel from place to place. One thing is sure and that is attendees would certainly be dressed based on stargate themes or stargate fan fiction characters.

The stargate trance party would certainly feature DJ spinning wheels of songs with lyrics that are crafted in stargate vocabulary. Of course it can’t be a trance party without trance music and an opportunity to dance like you just woke up in the lost world of Atlantis..
